We are Both the Sword and the Shield for Our Clients
Hickory, Charlotte & Columbia Attorney
Departure & Return to Injury LitigationApproximately two years later, Robyn left to work for an insurance defense firm, handling the defense of personal injury claims, premises liability claims, construction defect claims, and insurance coverage issues. This position allowed Robyn to expand both the types of claims she was handling and the geographic area, including as far west as Cherokee County and as far east as Carteret County, and practically everywhere in between. Robyn practiced in this area for ten years, eventually becoming a partner in the firm. Working for the insurance companies gave her invaluable insight into how insurance companies view and evaluate claims.
Certified Superior Court MediatorDuring this time, she became certified as a superior court mediator with the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission in 2014. Shortly thereafter, Robyn left to return to the practice of personal injury but focus on a pre-litigation setting to be able to spend more time with her young son. Robyn’s experience as both a Plaintiff and Defense attorney allowed her to be an objective mediator. She effectively deals with both sides because she has been in their position at one point in her career.
Coming HomeIn late 2016, Robyn made her way home to The Law Offices of Jason E. Taylor and a practice that allows her to use her more than twenty years of experience. She brings and defends claims in all aspects of personal injury claims, including auto accidents, dog bites, medical malpractice, and premises liability claims, whether or not they require court involvement. Robyn has tried over 40 jury trials to verdict in North Carolina Courts. Robyn is married with a young son. Her husband was born and raised in New York. However, they have both lived in North Carolina nearly as long as any other state. Her family still lives in West Virginia, and it remains one of her favorite places to visit Robyn loves to cheer for the Mountaineers, enjoys reading, puzzles, games, and travel. She also has a soft spot for rescue dogs.
