Early Experience
Larry grew up in central Pennsylvania before attending Ohio University in Athens, OH. Following college, He worked as a web developer before deciding to move to Denver, CO.
In Denver, Larry worked in the trucking industry as a broker before he attended the University of Denver for graduate school. Larry received a Master’s degree in Management from the Daniels School of Business at the University of Denver. Following grad school, Larry moved to Northern California where he again worked in the trucking industry.
Pursuing His Passion for the Law
While in California, Larry realized that he wanted to pursue a career in law. Larry decided to move back to Ohio, where he attended Capital University Law School in Columbus, OH. While in law school, Larry won the first-year Moot Court Competition and was also a member of the Capital Law Review and Moot Court Board.
During his 2nd and 3rd years of law school, Larry worked at a Columbus law firm that handled workers’ compensation, personal injury, and social security disability. Despite an offer of employment with that firm, Larry decided to move back to North Carolina, where the rest of his family has lived since 1995.
Founding His Own Firm
After passing the North Carolina Bar Exam, Larry worked as a document review attorney. During that time, Larry also co-founded a Social Security disability firm. In 2009, Bridgman & Serbin opened its doors and began representing disability claimants throughout the Carolinas
Joining the Law Offices Jason E. Taylor
In 2014, after representing numerous of disability clients, Larry decided to join the Law Offices of Jason E. Taylor as a lawyer so that he could focus on civil litigation.
In 2015, Larry became the managing partner of the Law Offices of Jason E. Taylor. In that role, Larry handled business and management issues for the firm in addition to his responsibilities as a lawyer.
In 2019, Larry shifted back to focusing on the law and gave up the title of Managing Partner. Now, as a Partner with the Law Offices of Jason E. Taylor, Larry focuses all of his time on his cases.
Areas of Practice
Larry’s primary focus is on personal injury cases as well as consumer issues involving fraud and unfair and deceptive trade practices. Larry especially enjoys complex cases posing unique issues that require a deep dive into the facts of the case. Larry prides himself on his ability to uncover facts and get to the truth. Larry enjoys the adversarial nature of litigation and is comfortable in taking cases to trial.
Larry has handled motions and trials throughout North Carolina and South Carolina as well as appellate work in the North Carolina Court of Appeals and North Carolina Supreme Court.
In addition to North Carolina, Larry is also licensed to practice law in South Carolina and Tennessee.
Personal Life
Larry is married with two children. Larry enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, trying new restaurants, and playing poker. Larry is an avid sports fan, particularly Penn State and Steelers football and Penguins hockey.
