Will’s Background
Will Zimmerman represents clients in serious personal injury cases involving car accidents, trucking and commercial vehicle collisions, motorcycle accidents, and premises liability claims.
Will prepares every case for trial from the outset. He believes thorough preparation strengthens a client’s position throughout the legal process, whether a case resolves through settlement or proceeds to a verdict.
His degree in screenwriting brings an additional perspective to his practice. That training helps him organize complex facts and communicate a client’s story clearly to insurance adjusters, judges, and juries.
Education & Early Career
Will earned his Juris Doctor from LMU Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, where he served on the staff of the Loyola of Los Angeles Entertainment Law Review.
During law school, he earned the highest grade in both Litigating a Copyright Case and Introduction to Negotiations. He also completed mediation training through the LMU Center for Conflict Resolution, developing skills in negotiation and dispute resolution.
Will began his legal career at a plaintiff-side litigation firm in Beverly Hills, California. There, he worked on fraud, breach of contract, and trade secret cases while gaining early trial experience.
After passing the North Carolina bar exam, Will moved to Charlotte to join Taylor | Serbin Injury Lawyers.
Trial Experience & Results
Will’s experience includes motion practice, trial, and post-trial briefing in California state court. His contributions have included:
- Helping obtain a verdict for a client in a multi-day civil trial.
- Preparing briefing that helped freeze $500,000 of a defendant’s assets before trial in a contract dispute.
- Helping secure a $4.2 million judgment in a commercial fraud case.
These experiences inform his approach to personal injury litigation. Will builds the evidentiary record early, anticipates potential defenses, and prepares each case with the demands of trial in mind.
