Jordan A. Butler is a seasoned litigator and workers’ compensation attorney who was born and raised in Branson, Missouri. His practice focuses on serious personal injury, including automobile accidents, trucking accidents, dog bite incidents, premises liability and workplace injuries.
Jordan began his legal career at St. Louis University School of Law where he earned a concentration in health law from the school’s nationally recognized Center for Health Law Studies. While in law school, Jordan served as a lead editor for the Journal of Health Law and Policy. During this time, he also assisted with complex healthcare litigation in the General Counsel’s Office for the United States Department of Health and Human Services, CMS division.
Since graduating from law school, Jordan has solidified his position within the legal community as a passionate advocate who secures results for his clients.
After passing the bar in 2018, Jordan started as an associate attorney with a personal injury firm in downstate Illinois. By 2019, he had helped obtain numerous jury trial verdicts for his clients, including a $1.668 million dollar verdict.
In 2020, his work on the late filings of affirmative defenses by opposing counsel was published in the Illinois Trial Journal. That same year, Jordan was awarded the Client’s Choice Award by Avvo which he has received every year since.
In 2021, and every year thereafter, Jordan has also been recognized by Super Lawyers as a rising star in personal injury litigation. Only five percent of the total lawyers in each state are selected for this award by Super Lawyers.
Since the outset of his legal career, Jordan has continued to consistently obtain positive outcomes for his clients through hearings, trials and appeals at all levels of the courts.
As supported by his client-centered approach to cases, Jordan is deeply passionate about fighting for those who have been harmed by the actions of others. As a result, he revels in the opportunity to stand up against insurance agencies and other companies who seek to exploit vulnerable injured persons and their families.
In 2024, Jordan and his wife relocated to North Carolina. It was at that time that Jordan grasped at the opportunity to join the esteemed Law Office of Jason E. Taylor, focusing on civil litigation and workers’ compensation matters.
Jordan is proudly a member of several legal associations within the state of North Carolina and across the country including, the North Carolina Bar Association, the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, the American Association for Justice and the American Board of Trial Advocates.
Beyond his legal practice, Jordan enjoys traveling, watching sports, exploring the surrounding area, attending live music events and spending time with his friends and family.
