Prostate cancer is one of the most common and serious health threats facing men in the United States today. According to the American Cancer Society, an estimated 299,010 new cases of prostate cancer were diagnosed in the U.S. in 2024 alone, with more than 35,000 men dying from the disease that same year. In 2025, that number climbed to an estimated 313,780 new cases. Approximately 1 in 8 men will receive a prostate cancer diagnosis at some point in their lives. Despite these numbers, many men still avoid routine screenings and doctor visits until it is too late. Events like the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride exist to change that, and Taylor Serbin Injury Lawyers is proud to be part of that effort in 2026.

What Is the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride?

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is an annual worldwide charity motorcycle event held each year on a single Sunday in cities across the globe. In 2026, the ride will take place on Sunday, May 17, in hundreds of cities worldwide. Riders dress dapper in their finest attire, mount their classic and vintage styled motorcycles, and ride together through city streets to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health. The event is open to all genders and welcomes riders of cafe racers, bobbers, scramblers, choppers, and other classic-inspired bikes.

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride was founded in 2012 by Mark Hawwa in Sydney, Australia. Inspired by a photograph of Mad Men’s fictional character Don Draper posed on a classic motorcycle, Hawwa launched the first ride as a way to challenge the negative stereotype of motorcyclists while bringing a community together for a great cause. That first event drew over 2,500 riders across 64 cities. By 2025, more than 127,000 riders participated in 1,038 cities across 108 countries, raising $7.3 million in a single year. Since 2012, the event has raised over $60 million for men’s health. The 2026 ride marks 15 years of the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, making it a milestone year for a truly global movement.

All funds raised through the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride benefit Movember, the leading global charity focused on men’s health. Movember invests in prostate cancer research, men’s mental health initiatives, suicide prevention programs, and testicular cancer research.

The need for awareness around men’s health cannot be overstated. Research consistently shows that men are far less likely than women to seek preventive care. A Cleveland Clinic survey found that only half of men consider an annual checkup a regular part of looking after themselves. A separate national survey found that one-third of men do not believe they need annual health screenings at all, with many convinced they are simply healthier than they are. Studies also show that 65% of men tend to wait as long as possible before seeing a doctor, even when they are experiencing symptoms or an injury. Men also die an average of five years earlier than women, and heart disease and cancer remain the leading causes of death among men in the U.S.

Men’s mental health is a growing concern as well. Suicide rates among men are significantly higher than among women, and many men still face barriers to seeking help, including stigma, fear, and lack of community support. The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride works to open that conversation, using a shared passion for motorcycles, dapper style, and community to get men talking about their health.

Why Is the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride Cause So Important to Taylor Serbin Injury Lawyers?

At Taylor Serbin Injury Lawyers, we work with people every day who are dealing with serious, life-changing circumstances. We understand firsthand how quickly life can shift and how important it is to take care of yourself and the people you love. We also know that far too many men put their health on the back burner until something forces the issue.

Prostate cancer, when caught early, is highly treatable. The five-year survival rate for localized prostate cancer exceeds 99%. But when left undetected, outcomes change dramatically. Supporting awareness and early detection is not just a worthy cause; it is a matter of life and death for the men in our community.

Men’s mental health is equally important. Isolation, stigma, and the cultural pressure to “push through”often prevent men from seeking help when they need it most. The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride helps challenge that by creating a space where men can come together, ride for something meaningful, and have more open conversations about their health.

We have been part of this effort since  2019, when our founder, Jason E. Taylor, first joined the ride. Since then, our team has continued to support this case year after year.  We are honored to take part in the 2026 Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride and to support a mission that aligns closely with how we show up for our community, not just in the moments that follow life-changing events, but in helping prevent them when we can.

How You Can Help Support Men’s Health

You do not have to own a classic motorcycle to make an impact. There are several meaningful ways to support this great cause and raise awareness for prostate cancer and men’s mental health.

  • Donate. The most direct way to support the cause is by contributing to our team’s page for the 2026 Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride. Every dollar goes directly to Movember to fund research and life-saving programs. We are also matching donations up to 2000 dollars to help extend the impact. You can donate here: https://gentlemansride.com/fundraiser/jason-taylor
  • Register and ride. If you own a classic or vintage-style motorcycle, sign up to participate in the 2026 Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride on May 17. Dress dapper, find your local ride at gentlemansride.com, and ride alongside a global community supporting men’s health.
  • Spread the word. Sharing information helps drive awareness and encourages action. Whether it is a post, a conversation, or a simple share, awareness starts with visibility. .
  • Start the conversation. Encourage the men in your life to prioritize their health. A simple reminder to schedule a checkup or talk openly about mental health can make a meaningful difference.
  • Support locally. Many local rides welcome volunteers and supporters. Showing up is another way to be part of the movement.
  • Prioritize your health. If you are over 50 or over 40 with higher risk factors, speak with your doctor about prostate cancer screening. Early detection remains one of the most effective ways to improve outcomes.

The 2026 Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is about more than motorcycles. It is about showing up for each other, for our families, and for our communities. Taylor Serbin Injury Lawyers is proud to be part of this effort, and we invite you to join us, whether by riding, sharing, or supporting the cause through a donation.
