After a major car accident, they handled everything with almost no input needed from me, allowing me to focus on healing.
Prostate cancer remains one of the most common and serious health threats facing men in the United States. The American Cancer Society estimated 313,780 new cases in 2025, and roughly one in eight men will receive a prostate cancer diagnosis in his lifetime. Many still avoid routine screenings until symptoms force the issue. Events like the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride exist to change that pattern, and Taylor | Serbin Injury Lawyers is part of the 2026 effort.
What is the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride?
The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is an annual worldwide motorcycle event held on a single Sunday each year. Riders dress in their finest attire, mount classic and vintage-styled motorcycles, and ride together to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health. The event welcomes riders of café racers, bobbers, scramblers, choppers, and other classic-inspired bikes.
The Ride was founded in 2012 by Mark Hawwa in Sydney, Australia, after he saw a photograph of Mad Men’s Don Draper posed on a classic motorcycle. The first event drew 2,500 riders across 64 cities. The 2026 ride marks fifteen years of the movement.
Where the funds go
All money raised through the Ride benefits Movember, the global charity focused on men’s health. Movember directs funds toward prostate cancer research, men’s mental health initiatives, suicide prevention programs, and testicular cancer research.
The need is well documented. Cleveland Clinic research has found that only half of men consider an annual checkup a regular part of caring for themselves. A separate national survey found one-third of men do not believe they need annual health screenings at all. Men also die an average of five years earlier than women, with heart disease and cancer remaining the leading causes of death.
Suicide rates among men remain significantly higher than among women, and many men still face barriers to seeking help, including stigma and the absence of a community to talk with. The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride uses a shared interest in motorcycles to open that conversation.
Why this cause matters to Taylor | Serbin
We work with people every day who are dealing with serious, life-changing circumstances. We see how quickly life can shift and how often men put their health on the back burner until something forces the issue.
When prostate cancer is caught early, it is highly treatable — the five-year survival rate for localized prostate cancer exceeds 99%. When it is missed, outcomes change. Supporting awareness and early detection is a matter of life and death for the men in our community.
Our founder, Jason E. Taylor, first joined the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride in 2019 and has ridden every year since, including leading the Charlotte ride in 2025. Riding in 2026 reflects how we show up for our community: in the moments after life-changing events, and in helping prevent them when we can.
We're matching donations up to $2,000.
Every dollar contributed to Jason Taylor’s fundraiser goes directly to Movember. We will match contributions to extend the impact through the day of the ride.
Six ways to support men's health
You do not need to own a classic motorcycle to make an impact. There are several meaningful ways to back the cause and raise awareness for prostate cancer and men’s mental health.

Register and ride
If you own a classic or vintage-styled motorcycle, sign up to ride on May 17. Find your local ride at gentlemansride.com.
Spread the word
Awareness starts with visibility. A post, a share, or a single conversation moves the needle.
Start the conversation
Encourage the men in your life to schedule a checkup or talk openly about their mental health.
Support locally
Many local rides welcome volunteers and supporters. Showing up is part of the movement.
Prioritize your own health
If you are over 50 — or over 40 with risk factors — talk with your doctor about prostate cancer screening. Early detection remains one of the most effective interventions available.
Ride with us, or support from where you are.
The 2026 Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is about showing up — for each other, for our families, and for our communities.
