Rowan County School officials said a school bus, which was carrying the girls’ softball team of North Rowan Middle School, collided with a motorcycle just after 6:00 pm on Thursday, August 17th. No staff or students suffered serious injuries.
School officials said the North Rowan Middle School girls’ softball team was returning from a game in Mooresville when a motorcycle collided with the bus in the western Rowan area.
The crash happened on N.C. 801. The motorcycle driver has been identified as, Jesse Regrut, 26, of China Grove. He was seriously injured in the accident and reportedly was airlifted to the hospital.
Seven people were on the bus. Officials said they were all transferred to another bus and taken to the local hospital for evaluation to be extra cautious.
