Salisbury, NC Woman Dead After Moped, SUV collide in Rowan County

The N.C. State Highway Patrol said a 49-year-old woman, Christine Michelle Hill,  passed away. The Salisbury resident was driving a moped and was involved in a collision with an SUV Thursday evening. Around 9:30 PM on Thursday she was driving on Dunn’s Mountain Road, near Fisher Road, when the fatal collision happened, the troopers said. 

Hill was traveling southeast on Dunn’s Mountain Road in Rowan County and went over the centerline causing her to hit a Honda SUV. Hill was pronounced dead at the scene. More updates on this incident to follow.
