One Person Killed by Moving Amtrak in Salisbury

One person has passed away after being hit by a train around 8:30 pm on July 30th. The accident occurred on East Franklin Street near the Old Lutheran Cemetery. The train had just left Salisbury station when the person was struck. The train was heading northbound from Charlotte to Raleigh, according to Amtrak. It was delayed for more than two hours in Salisbury.

The police have not yet identified the person who passed away.
