A man passed away after a two-vehicle crash on Monday, August 14th in Lincoln County. The accident occurred on West Old NC-150 Highway near Saint Marks Church Road at approximately 1:45 p.m.
A 1997 GMC Sonoma was heading north on Saint Marks Church Road, where it failed to stop at a stop sign, and was hit by a 2021 Ford F-350 driving east on Old NC 150.
The driver of the Sonoma has been identified as, 56-year-old David Joseph McCurry of Lincolnton. He was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
The driver of the F-350 has been identified as 36-year-old Dalton Jarred Fuller of Bessemer City. He had minor injuries and was not taken to the hospital.
