One person passed away in a car crash involving an impaired driver. A Nissan 350 was turning left onto David Cox Road from West W.T. Harris Boulevard when it got rear-ended by a Ford F150 that was recklessly driving and speeding. The Ford rolled over and both vehicles went off the road into the woods nearby.
The driver of the Ford, Jarrod Bayless, was pronounced dead at the scene. Michelle Bayless was in the passenger seat and was transported to a hospital with critical injuries. 27-year-old Zachary Alexander was driving the Nissan and was also hospitalized with severe injuries. He was found to be impaired by alcohol and will be facing charges of Driving While Impaired.
Police have not released whether the deceased Mr. Bayless was also impaired, but they said that speed was a factor in the crash.
At The Law Offices of Jason E. Taylor, our hearts and prayers go out to the family, friends, and loved ones of Jarrod Bayless who suffered this tragic loss of life. We also extend our prayers to Michelle Bayless and Zachary Alexander who are facing serious injuries and wish them a healthy recovery. We share our condolences for this devastating car accident.
