Fatal Spartanburg SC, Truck  Accident Claims 4 Lives

Friday, August 4th around 7:45 pm a single truck accident happened along Fairforest Road near Old Greenville Road. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a 2007 Chevy truck was heading north on Fairforest Road when the truck driver went off the left side of the road, struck a utility pole and a brick column, then flipped over and hit another utility pole.

The driver of the truck was taken by emergency responders to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, but three of the passengers in the truck were pronounced dead at the scene. On Sunday, August 6th  the Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office said the fourth person involved in the crash passed away.

Officials say they’re working to identify the victims; The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office has been reached out to. The Coroner’s Office said identification and contacting next of kin may take a while, as all four victims are believed to be from out of the country. More updates on this incident to follow.
