A pedestrian passed away after he was pinned under a vehicle in a bank parking lot on Rivers Avenue just after midnight on September 13th.
64-year-old Leroy Gibbs Jr. was struck by a black Ford Taurus, that continued to move, causing Gibbs to get stuck under the vehicle. Emergency personnel removed Gibbs from under the car and took him to the Medical University of South Carolina, where he later died due to his injuries from the incident.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing but, no charges have been filed in regards to the accident.
