A person passed away in a motorcycle accident on Wednesday night, August 23rd in Durham, NC. The incident occurred at approximately 9:28 p.m. on North Roxboro Street and Rippling Stream Road.
The motorcyclist, riding a Suzuki GSX S-750, was heading northbound on North Roxboro Street, when a 1998 GMC van, attempting a left turn from N. Roxboro Street onto Rippling Stream Road, collided with the motorcycle.
The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the van did not sustain any injuries. Both drivers are yet to be identified. Both directions of North Roxboro Street between Seven Oaks Road and Latta Road were closed for several hours.
The investigation into this accident is underway.
