One person passed away and two others are injured following a crash in Lincoln County on Wednesday afternoon, September 6th. Troopers responded to the crash at approximately 4:40 p.m. along Shoal Road, near Hayworth Lane. A 2017 Kia Soul was driving west, then crossed the center line and sideswiped an eastbound 2008 GMC Canyon.

55-year-old Gary Samuel Kiser, was the driver of the Kia Soul. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries. The driver of the GMC Canyon, 77-year-old David Rivera Torres, and the passenger were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Shoal Road remained closed down for about an hour as officials investigated the scene. Detectives found that a medical condition contributed to the crash during the initial investigation. All of those involved in the accident were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the wreck.
