One person passed away and one other person was injured in a single-vehicle crash Monday afternoon, August 28th on Monte Vista Road in Candler.
According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, 38-year-old Brian Williams Mason, of Candler, was killed when the vehicle he was driving went off the road and collided with several trees. A woman in the car with him was transported to the hospital with injuries.
Monte Vista was closed in both directions near Parrot Road from approximately 2:50 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
